Our People

Bill Pflipsen

Owner

Bill was born and raised on a farm just north of New Munich MN. In 2004, he started Pflipsen Trucking LLC, hauling grain, fertilizer, turkey litter, and ag lime to and from area farmers. His dad joined him in 2007, together they grew it into 20 semi’s and 35 trailers.

Together they also run Pflipsen Farms LLC, growing corn, soybeans, and wheat.

Bill decided to add Pflipsen Ag Services/Central Grain to offer great service and competitive bids for area farmers. His goal is to grow the business into a one stop shop for area farmers that they can rely on and trust.

Bill and his wife Kristin have four children Caiden, Claire, Ashlynn, and Abigail. They live on the home farm by New Munich, MN.

Sonja Miller

Office Supervisor

Sonja has always been around farming, she grew up on a dairy farm in Sauk Centre, MN and milked cows until she decided to crop farm full time.

Sonja started Central Grain in 2005 on a “build it and they will come” idea. She knew what farmers needs were, extended harvest hours, fast dump times, and trucking. She wanted it to be the best full-service elevator for all the producers in the area. Sonja enjoys working in the grain and trucking industry so much, that she is excited to stay on with Pflipsen Ag/Central Grain and watch the business continue to grow.

Sonja and her husband Brent live by West Union, they have 2 adult daughters and 1 granddaughter. They enjoy gardening, fishing and spending time with family and friends at the lake.

Josh Rieland

Grain Merchandiser

Josh grew up in Sauk Centre, he is not from a farming background but is friends with Sonja and Brent and helped out at Central Grain during harvest and enjoyed it so much he accepted a fulltime position in 2013.

He loves “talking” markets and working with producers on there marketing plans. Josh truly enjoys watching the grain markets and thrives on helping the producers through the ups and downs the markets challenge us with. He is constantly researching and surrounds himself with resources to build profits for the producers.

Josh and his wife Kadee live in Sauk Centre, they have 3 daughters Jenna, Avery, and Emily. They enjoy watching and playing sports, along with hunting and fishing, and enjoying time outside.
